Properties and Reactivity
D-15 is a low viscosity liquid with a pungent odor, colorless to light yellow transparent, high crystallization point, crystal precipitation may occur below 8 ℃.

D-15 readily hydrolyzes upon contact with moisture.Hydrolyzed with water without catalyst at room temperature. The hydrolysis activity is lower than D-10.
Crosslinker for RTV-1 acetoxy sealant.
D-15 is the main crosslinking agent for RTV-1 acetoxy sealant, which can be used alone or mixed with other acyloxy silanes to achieve the required performance and curing rate. The recommended dosage for D-15 is 3-5% of the total mass.
D-15 is usually used alone or mixed with other acidic crosslinking agents, which can provide better tensile strength and better adhesion. The preparation process is the same as traditional acidic crosslinking agents. The first step is to mix the polymer with silicone oil for defoaming, followed by the addition of cross-linking agent D-15. After stirring for about 15 minutes, fillers such as fumed silica are added, and after dispersion, catalyst D-70 is finally added.
The theoretical crystallization point of this product is 8 ℃. During actual storage (sealed and unopened state), crystallization may occur when the ambient temperature is below 8 ℃. Before use, it is necessary to check for any crystallization. If crystallization has occurred, it should not be used directly. It is recommended to bake (not exceeding 80 ℃) before use. The acidic RTV1 produced using this as a crosslinking agent may crystallize below 0 ℃. Please adjust the formula according to the sales area or season.
